The NW Overland Rally is held each June in the tiny central Washington town of Plain, two hours east of Seattle. Held June 15-18, the event brings overlanding enthusiasts together from Oregon, Idaho, British Columbia, and of course, Washington, to see the latest gear, learn new techniques, and get to know other overlanders.
There are a multitude of classes on everything from wilderness first aid, to off road driving; a knife and axe clinic, to a vehicle recovery/winching class (taught by trainer Bob Wohlers and Warn); and travel round table discussions, to wine tasting. In fact, you can see the entire 2017 schedule here.
There are a multitude of vendors offering everything from rooftop tents, communication equipment, camping goods, and of course, recovery gear. There are trail rides, seminars, and lots more. It’s a family-friendly event, and you’re assured to learn something and meet new friends.
Of course, there’s the famous raffles each night, too—few people go away empty handed. And yes, we’ll be giving away a WARN winch at the event!
We’ll have a booth with the latest new product and some great WARN swag. So be sure you check out the NW Overland Rally website and get your tickets. It’s a great event with fantastic people, super cool gear, and some amazing rigs. In fact, be sure to check out our coverage of 2016’s event.
